Veterinary Nurse Lexi obtained her BS in Biology at the College of Charleston, SC and then moved back to her home state of Arizona.  (She hated the wet heat!)  Lexi has a small dog, "Kevin."  As it works out, both Lexi and Kevin have to eat gluten free!  Truly a perfectly matched pet and pet parent!

Receptionist​ Cassandria traveled from sea to desert.  Originally from Greece, Cassandria came to Arizona at 8 years of age. She loves being a comfort to any animal but especially enjoys working with exotic pets.  She has Java Green Peacocks as well as a wolf hybrid named Lykos, a Bengal cat named Devika and a Doberman named Kyro.  Cassandra is passing down her veterinary experience to her daughter who wants to become a veterinarian.   

Veterinary Nurse Alex grew up in the east coast, and moved to Arizona with her family as a young teenager. Alex attended NAU majoring in history and education.  However, her passion for animals over shadowed her will to teach.  Alex is an aspiring dog mom who treats the patients she cares for as her very own.

Veterinary Nurse  Marissa was born and raised in Arizona. She is currently in school, making critical decisions on her future path.  Marissa is considering a career as a veterinarian and her time at Scottsdale Animal Healthcare is critical to her future plans. She has always had a love for animals and enjoys working with them. She owns a black lab named Cooper and a pit bull named Rosie.

Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) Keaira was born and raised in Arizona. She graduated from Carrington College CVT program in 2013.  Keaira has a passion for animals, and eventually would like to go back to school to become a Veterinarian.  After working each day at the veterinary hospital, Keaira enjoys spending time with her husband and her mixed breed dog named Dawg.

Veterinarian  Dr. Alex Casuccio offers over 30 years of companion animal practice experience with advanced skills in dermatology, orthopedic surgery, ophthalmic surgery, internal medicine and much more.  As a previous practice owner of over 22 years and a previous Medical Director for a large corporate practice (supervising, mentoring and coaching 50 doctors at a time), Dr. Casuccio has developed top notch medical expertise along with the friendly, personal approach that all clients want.  In his spare time, Dr. Casuccio is an avid horseback rider, he is a commercial pilot in both sea and land airplanes and you can often spot him on 2 wheels, motorcycling with his wife, Michelle, in the passenger's seat.

Veterinarian​  Dr. Robbie Taylor attended veterinary school at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA and he joins us after working at a high volume, corporate veterinary hospital.   His professional interests include surgery, anesthesia, trauma, and preventative health. Outside of work, he enjoys running, camping and tinkering on his 1968 Ford Mustang. Dr. Robbie is an Arizona native and loves everything about the desert. However, that doesn't stop him from exploring new destinations with his wife, Millie, and their kids, Ginny & Scott.  Prior to becoming a veterinarian, Dr. Taylor was an Air Force Staff Sergeant  (E-5).  

​Receptionist Christine grew up in Bristol, CT and has lived in Arizona for over 20 years with her daughter, Ashley. Christine is a courageous, upbeat, breast and colon cancer survivor.  She has a great love and passion for all types of animals which makes working  at Scottsdale Animal Healthcare a perfect fit for her. She enjoys spending her free time riding her horse and also hanging out with her 4-legged family;  2 dogs, 2 cats, a tortoise, a lizard.

Veterinarian  Dr. Rachel Casuccio (daughter-in-law to Dr. Alex Casuccio) grew up in Landenberg, PA where her parents still reside. She graduated from the University of Delaware with a BS in Animal Science in 2004 and graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009.  She has an avid interest in small animal surgery.  In Dr. Casuccio's free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, John, reading, watching favorite TV shows and staying fit.   Many clients know her by her maiden name, Dr. Rachel Cherico.

Veterinary Nurse​  Taylor is also a native Arizonian.  Currently enrolled in the pre-veterinary program at ASU, Taylor is gaining valuable experience at Scottsdale Animal Healthcare for her future plans to become a veterinarian.  Passionate about pets of all kinds, Taylor has a miniature pinscher named "Ella" and a cat named "Ms Tinkles."  

Receptionist Taylor (we call her "Tay") is a native Arizonan. Tay graduated ASU with a BA in Education.  However, as fate would have it, soon after graduation Tay rescued a terrier mix named Rosie.  This sent her on a whole new career path and she is now back in school in a pre-veterinary program and has hopes of becoming a veterinarian soon.
